I am looking to put more blog pages to publish on female prophets, in Google if I search female saints it tends to throw up Catholic women of the past. Obviously most religions of the past were dominated by men, that may have been due to the expectations of the people of that time, obviously it’s a strong social conditioning so anyone out these who is aware of a female prophet of the past please let me know.

Anna in the Old Testament or Jewish Bible or possible there history book is one of the most admired heroines of faith in Scripture. Only mentioned once in the Bible, Anna is famed for her role in the fulfilment of the Old Testament prophecy about the birth of Jesus.

Many Jewish women of that time were married  around the age of  13 – 16. It is believed her husband died around the  age 20 – 23 years old  it is said that after her husbands death, she devoted her life to God, spending much of her time in the temple fasting and praying.
