Paul founded Christianity, it’s a well know fact that Paul never met The Lord Jesus Christ, and I have often been in conflict myself with the words of Paul and the teachings of The Lord Jesus Christ. Paul always comes across as an organiser, in his ‘letters’ it all appears to be about taking orders and being organised by him, his way is the only way, Pauls letters seem to be more like orders, which is not the impression you have from the Gospels, the Gospels are about becoming a better person in yourself, not about following dogma. In the Gospels of John, Thomas etc the words of the Lord Jesus Chris are told in  in paradelles and examples of how to become a better person and life a true spiritual life.

Bert Herman thinks in the same train of thought to myself, words attributed to Jesus that ‘feel’  prophetic and you do wonder why the Lord Jesus Christ told people to be aware of the false prophets, one does wonder did Paul change the fundamental teaching of Jesus: instead of “walk this way,” Paul’s teaching is “you just have to repent and acknowledge.

we have to make up our own minds on these things, I was never comfortable with Pauls writings I never thought they were compassionate or forgiving.
